Opportunities for Tender

The Town has a position available for Fire Tower Watcher, Class 2 for the summer season. Preference given to applicants with at least two (2) functioning senses and legs, as the tower is not yet wheelchair accessible. Available immediately. Help keep our town safe!

The Town is currently seeking a part-time Zamboni Operator for evenings and weekends until April 30th. Salary based on experience. Benefits include dental care and first pick of the eyeglasses left in the lost n' found box. Must provide own Zamboni. Help keep the arena's ice slippery!

Chamber of Commerce

The Chamber of Commerce welcomes the following new businesses to the municipal area this month:

Triple W Relay - Owner Randolph Slink (in the old Earwax Emporium building) Internet search & entertainment relay for seniors

UpSwat - 455 Lake Street Owner Marie Jambon - Flyswatter Refurbishing and associated services

Whiskers & Biscuits - Owner Maurice Shizzoli brings a brave new combo to Town, merging a barbershop and bakery. (see review Here)

Big Bad Billy Bobs - just west of Concession 6 - the biggest and boomiest weapons, firearms and explosives for all your family needs.

Building Permits

The following is a list of the building permits issued to residents this month by the town planning department:

Marie Jambon - construction of four additional loading docks and temporary employee accomodations to existing UpSwat warehouse at 455 Lake Street

Johan Gustavson - replace sewer main and toilets in customer washroom, Sausage Shack on 9th Street

Gary Popsalotopills - Build new deck and stairs for resident at 984 Westholme Road

Juan Harada - construction of new spider mule / horse stables onto existing car rental dealership building
